Welcome to St. John's Episcopal Church.
The RT. Rev'd J. Michael Garrison, Bishop Letter from Father Paul Vicar of St. John's Dear Family of the WNY Diocese: Traveling south on Route 219, you will pass through Ellicottville, New York. When you reach our one and only stoplight, behold our beautiful and historic little white church of St. John's. It was established in 1829 and built in 1837, making it the oldest church in the Diocese. To add to its historicity, St. John's is served by Father Paul Henderson, Vicar, one of the oldest priest in the Diocese of Western New York. Come and worship with us at the traditional and holy hour of 11:00 a.m. which also is when St. Gabriel rings any Sunday of the year ---------it will make you feel gloriously young!!! Christmas Eve, Celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, is an ecumenical service at 6:30 p.m. Ellicottville celebrates a Fall Festival every October, which St. John's has become a part of in that we sell crafts, baked goods, and small treasures. See you there. Father Paul E. Henderson, Vicar |
