Visitors
There are various open houses arranged during the annual festivals held in Ellicottville. During the Fall Fest we usually have a small garage sale made up of baked goods and home made items along with a small assortment of donations from the congregation. This is a great time to take in this beautiful area, mingle with the large crowds and of course St. John's opens its doors for tours of the church and the usual Sunday Service. In December Ellicottville has what is know as the Christmas Stroll which has a old time sing of Christmas Carols at the town center gazebo and residents and tourist enjoy horse carriage rides around the town to see the sites. St. John's again opens its doors to visitors and their children. The children have the opportunity to do crafts and then ring Gabriel the third oldest bell in the United States. This is a time of year for family and St. Johns attempts to bring the joy of the season to our area. Come to our town for a visit and enjoy the year long activities we have some of the best skiing in New York, and great golf courses within a short distance of the town. Ellicottville, at the center of Cattaraugus County, was also the largest producer of various wood products, famous people have lived and worked here and it is currently a destination for people from not only the Western New York area but many people for Canada, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and many more places to numerous to mention, for all the outdoor activities that await you. We are always looking to meet new people and attempting to find our way to fiscal solvency any donations would also be acceptable and they can be sent to St. Johns Episcopal Church Ellicottville, PO Box 137, Ellicottville, New York 14731 |
